Eliciana Rodriguez-Barroso, M.S. Intern

Master's Level Student Intern (QMHP)

Eliciana is a Graduate Student Counselor from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UTSA and has worked in research with the PRIDE Family Studies Lab. Utilizing a person-centered, strengths-based approach, she seeks to help clients build necessary skills to approach situations with confidence. Their goal as a counselor is to collaborate with their clients in finding solutions that best fit the context of their life.

Eliciana is a part of the LGBTQ+ community and uses the pronouns she/he/they interchangeably. She is passionate about working with those within the Queer community, as well as those who experience chronic illness, trauma, anxiety, and depression. He is sensitive to the intersections of identity; a person's values, spirituality, economic status, culture, physical health, and personal needs all play a role in how they manage difficult life phases. For this reason, Eliciana prefers a creative approach that allows them to tailor treatment to each individual client's needs.
